Put a Ring on It

I had forgotten how exhausting it is to have two jobs. After working this morning from 8 AM to 1 PM, I finally had a chance to relax. Usually I'm running between jobs: my cashier job in the morning until afternoon and my receptionist job from afternoon until evening. I come home hungry as a (insert ravenous animal, as I can't remember the metaphor for my life), but it will all be worth it on payday. Except the fact that the majority of my income goes towards paying back my credit card debt. Stay away from those plastic pieces of imaginary financial freedom, people. It will come to bite you in the bum.

It really, really sucks not having money. A few weeks ago, I was browsing the thrift store with my Mom, and I came across a David's Bridal wedding gown.

Confessions: From NYC Socialite to Southern Belle

I guess you really should "never say never" after all.

This weekend, I went with my church's youth to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to a youth conference and had a blast! For the first time since I left New York, I actually feel at home in the south. Gatlinburg itself was such a bustling place, especially with the ten thousand conference attendees; I felt almost like I was in a mini New York City. Okay, well, it's a long stretch from NYC, but it was refreshing to

This Girl Has a Job!!!

Funny how that works. In my experience, I've noticed that when it comes to boys and jobs, once someone shows interest in you, everyone jumps on board. For the past two months I've been applying to jobs since we moved here, and only a week ago did I start hearing any responses. I ended up hearing back

Finally a Good Week! Is Love in the Air?

Yups, pretty much sums it up right there.

So in the past, I was such a hater when it was that time of the year when you saw happy, romantic couples left and right. I mean, geez, I've had one "boyfriend", if you can even call him that

Out of the Mouth of Babes: Interracial Dating

Happy Saturday! Its seems like every day, I wake up earlier and earlier. No more sleeping in late! When I was back in New York, the latest I ever slept was maybe 9:00 AM on Mondays, because I worked every other day of the week. I've been on my work flow for the past couple of weeks. Some days I just want to give up the job search because I don't see any results, but you can't pay the bills that way! Besides, I would not be able to live like that; I need to keep busy.

One way that I've been keeping busy is by hanging out with my older cousin and her family on the weekends. Usually my brother and I spend the entire weekend with them, but last night I was eager to work on my hair so I came home for the night. Last night, we went to a local high school basketball game;

How Gourmet Food is Going to Kill Me (and My Wallet)

You know that your wallet is in trouble when you start dreaming about food and waking up drooling with the taste of french onion soup from Panera Bread in your mouth. Who knew that onions could actually make you cry tears of actual joy?

What Makes a Great Blog and YouTube Channel

When I started my first blog, Shoes, Bags, and American Girl Dolls, I spent many weeks brainstorming and planning out what my mission concerning my blog and my brand would be. Whatever it is that I do, in this case starting a blog and YouTube channel, my standards for my own creations are based off of the standards that I have for others. As someone who spends a lot of time each day finding new blogs and YouTube channels, there are certain things that I look for when I follow and subscribe. So I made sure that I had some idea of what direction I wanted my blogs and channels to head into. Currently, I have not uploaded any videos onto my YouTube channels because I refuse to put anything out there if I feel that I gave less than 110% and if I feel that the quality of my work is not superior.

The first thing that I notice about blogs and videos
